§ Mr. TENNANTNo, Sir, the Volunteer Training Corps are under the Central Association of Volunteer Training Corps and in no way dependent on the emergency committees. The duties assigned to the emergency committees will be carried out by special constables, who are a distinct organisation from the Volunteer Training Corps, although in many cases the same individuals belong to both. I regret that in my reply to the hon. Member for North Islington on 4th February I stated Volunteer Training Corps instead of special constables.
