Mr. KINGasked the Prime Minister whether the late Cecil Rhodes founded fifteen scholarships at Oxford for students from Germany held on the appointment of the German Kaiser, and that the annual income for this purpose is £3,750 a year; and whether, in view of the present financial difficulties of Oxford University, he will introduce emergency legislation whereby the income of this endowment may be enjoyed by the university during the period of the War?
