HC Deb 07 June 1915 vol 72 cc81-2
41. Major HUNT

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that men enlisted under the voluntary system, even if wounded two or three times on different occasions, are compelled to go back to the fighting line abroad directly their wounds are healed, he can now say whether the Government have decided to bring in compulsory military training for all healthy young men in Great Britain who are not required for other Government work?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer is in the negative.

Major HUNT

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the people are tired of waiting for action to be taken to make those who will not volunteer do their share?
