HC Deb 07 June 1915 vol 72 c82
2. Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any official information regarding the transmission to China and Japan of a Note by the United States outlining their attitude towards the recently signed Chino - Japanese Treaty; and whether Great Britain is also recording in a similar fashion her views on the subject?

Lord ROBERT CECIL

I am aware that the United States Government have made a communication to the Japanese Government on the subject of the Treaty in question. In reply to the second part of the question, I may say that the Governments of Japan and China are both well aware of the views of His Majesty's Government on the subject and that their further expression seems unnecessary.
