§ 2. Sir WILLIAM BULLasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any official information regarding the transmission to China and Japan of a Note by the United States outlining their attitude towards the recently signed Chino - Japanese Treaty; and whether Great Britain is also recording in a similar fashion her views on the subject?
§ Lord ROBERT CECILI am aware that the United States Government have made a communication to the Japanese Government on the subject of the Treaty in question. In reply to the second part of the question, I may say that the Governments of Japan and China are both well aware of the views of His Majesty's Government on the subject and that their further expression seems unnecessary.
