HC Deb 20 July 1915 vol 73 c1314
20. Sir E. CORNWALL

asked the Minister of Munitions whether the British Government, directly or indirectly, is the chief buyer in this country of spelter from the United States; and whether, when ordering American spelter, it would be possible to discriminate in favour of the metal made in the United States from ores raised in British Columbia?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MUNITIONS DEPARTMENT (Dr. Addison)

In the event of such purchases being made the point raised by my hon. Friend shall receive due consideration.
