HC Deb 22 February 1915 vol 70 c22
55. Sir FRANCIS LOWE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the fact that our soldiers at the front are not provided with a sufficient supply of barbed-wire cutters; and, seeing that every German soldier carries a pair of these cutters, whether he will consider the advisability of providing our soldiers equally well in this respect?

Mr. TENNANT

As I informed the hon. Member for Devizes on Wednesday last in reply to a similar question, the scale of issue of wire-cutters to the troops, which has recently been increased, is considered to be sufficient.
