HC Deb 17 February 1915 vol 69 cc1132-3
78. Mr. R. M'NEILL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether National Reservists of Class I. who join the New (Lord Kitchener's) Army are entitled to a grant of £5, with £5 on discharge, and those of Class II. are entitled to the same allowances on rejoining their old units for Home service, whereas National Reservists of Class I. who rejoin their old Territorial battalions for active service receive neither of these Grants; if he will say why this distinction is made; and if he will see that all National Reservists rejoining the Colours shall receive equal treatment in this respect?

Mr. BAKER

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Chertsey on the 4th instant, a copy of which I will send to him.
