HC Deb 11 February 1915 vol 69 cc721-2
72. Mr. TICKLER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that men who have joined Kitchener's Army, now in training at Brocklesby, have been informed that unless they consent to be inoculated for typhoid they will not be allowed to proceed to the front with their companions; and whether this is in accordance with the instructions of the War Office?

Mr. TENNANT

No such circumstances as my hon. Friend describes have been reported. I stated, in an answer to my hon. Friend the Member for Haggerston on the 23rd November, the position of inoculated men as regards the probability of their proceeding to the front. The matter remains as it then stood.
