HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 cc117-8
6. Mr. MacCAW

asked whether Sir Roger Casement is still in receipt of the pension granted to him in 1913; and, if so, whether it is the intention of the Government to withdraw this pension, in view of the recent disloyal attitude adopted by Sir Roger Casement towards Great Britain?

Sir E. GREY

Sir Roger Casement's pension has been suspended pending investigation.

Sir J. LONSDALE

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether Sir Roger Casement is still in Germany?

Sir E. GREY

I do not know where he is.

24. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether Sir Roger Casement continues to draw, and will continue to draw, his pension?

The statement made just now was that the pension was suspended. I wish to know whether the intention is to continue it?

No reply was given.
