HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 cc125-6
52. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Prime Minister whether he can state the results of the informal census undertaken by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee to date; whether he can state the cost to public funds of the same; and whether he can state how many of those indicating their willingness to serve have already been called up?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Committee has not yet completed its work, and in any case I do not think it would be desirable in the public interest to publish at present the results. The cost incurred is approximately £10,000.

53. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Prime Minister whether he can state the amount spent in advertisement by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am informed that the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee has not issued any advertisements to the Press. If my hon. Friend desires to know the cost of the posters issued, I will ascertain the figure.
