HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 c123
25. Mr. ALDEN

asked the Attorney-General what steps the Government proposes to take to amend the Defence of the Realm Act by the provisions of which British citizens are deprived of their right to be tried by the ordinary tribunals of the land?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL (Sir J. Simon)

A Bill amending the Defence of the Realm Consolidation Act in certain particulars will shortly be introduced.

Sir RYLAND ADKINS

Will the Bill be so drawn as to admit of further Amendments, if the House so desires?

Sir J. SIMON

The form of the Bill I cannot anticipate.
