HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 cc135-6
61. Mr. KING

asked the Under Secretary of State for War whether he will state the reasons for the issuing of an order, dated 11th January, 1915, whereby a number of persons, being British subjects of good reputation, in Bristol and the neighbourhood are prohibited from residing in their homes or following their usual employments after the 15th February, 1915; and whether this order will be strictly enforced in all cases?

Mr. TENNANT

The orders which my hon. Friend has in mind excluded the persons in question from the Bristol Docks and did not prohibit them from residing in their homes. The order originally made has been rescinded except in the ease of one person, regarding whom further investigation is being made.
