HC Deb 23 December 1915 vol 77 cc602-3
65. Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether, in the case of British officers who are taken prisoners, their pay continues to be paid, but, in the case of Indian officers, they only receive half-pay during the period of their imprisonment; and, if so, if he will explain why the Indian officer is thus penalised?

The COMPTROLLER of the HOUSE-HOLD (Mr. Charles Roberts)

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave to a similar question put by the hon. Member for West Down yesterday.
