HC Deb 27 April 1915 vol 71 c562
52. Mr. GEORGE ROBERTS

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he has received resolutions from county and borough councils, and from such bodies as the Norwich and District Bakers' Association, requesting the adoption and enforcement by law of the sale of bread by standard weights; and whether any legislative action is contemplated in respect thereof?

Mr. ROBERTSON

No resolution with regard to the sale of bread seems to have been received by the Board of Trade from the association to which my hon. Friend refers. The resolutions on the subject which I have recently received from local authorities do not recommend that bread should be sold only in fixed standard quantities.
