HC Deb 27 April 1915 vol 71 c579
44. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has accepted Recommendation 89 of the Holt Committee's Report, whereby an appeal is suggested to the Treasury medical referee when there is a difference in medical testimony either for the purposes of the Superannuation Acts or for retention in the services; and whether he is also prepared to accept the suggestion that the employé who appeals may be allowed to see the report on his or her fitness?

Captain NORTON

The Committee's recommendation that Post Office servants should be permitted to appeal to the Treasury Medical Referee in the circumstances mentioned has been accepted; but the suggestion that the appellant should in certain circumstances be allowed to see the referee's report is one which my right, hon. Friend cannot accept.
