§ 44. Mr. HOGGEasked the Postmaster-General whether he has accepted Recommendation 89 of the Holt Committee's Report, whereby an appeal is suggested to the Treasury medical referee when there is a difference in medical testimony either for the purposes of the Superannuation Acts or for retention in the services; and whether he is also prepared to accept the suggestion that the employé who appeals may be allowed to see the report on his or her fitness?
§ Captain NORTONThe Committee's recommendation that Post Office servants should be permitted to appeal to the Treasury Medical Referee in the circumstances mentioned has been accepted; but the suggestion that the appellant should in certain circumstances be allowed to see the referee's report is one which my right, hon. Friend cannot accept.
