83. Mr. HOGGE

asked whether any thing further has been done to bring the pensions of commissaries of the India Departments into line with those of similar rank in the Home service?

Mr. C. ROBERTS

The Secretary of State has not yet received the revised proposals of the Government of India. On 30th July last they stated that it would be some time before they could submit their proposals.

Mr. HOGGE

Will the hon. Gentleman say when it is likely they will be submitted?

Mr. C. ROBERTS

I cannot press the Government of India, considering the circumstances.
