asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he has any knowledge of the payments made to workers engaged in making up soldiers' clothing employed by Messrs. Fifers, in Roman Road, Bow; Clingers, Mare Street, Hackney; and Diamond and Beavers, Railway Place, Cambridge Road, East; and wiil he have full inquiry made as to the way in which this firm is carrying out the Fair Wages Clause?

No complaint has been received regarding the wages paid by these firms to workers engaged in making up soldiers' clothing, but inquiry is being made in the matter.
