HC Deb 22 April 1915 vol 71 c410
74. Mr. STEWART

asked if those officers who have been brought back from commands in India to command troops either at Home or on the Continent will receive I pay at Indian rate for the time they are so employed, provided that the time does not exceed the unexpired portion of their Indian command?

Mr. BAKER

Officers commanding units in India; when brought back to fill appointments at Home or with the Expeditionary Force, continue to draw their Indian rates of pay if more favourable than those of the new appointments.
