Mr. CATHCART WASONI desire to ask the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is now in a position to give us any details regarding the explosion at Lerwick?
§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)An inquiry is being held into the matter, pending the result of which I am not in a position to add to the reports which have appeared in the Press, except that I regret to say that the number of deaths resulting from the explosion now appears to be seven—three being naval ratings and four civilians, in addition to about twenty injured.
