HC Deb 27 November 1914 vol 68 c1493
24. Mr. JOWETT

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will propose a special Income Tax in his next Budget, with the object of impounding, for the benefit of the State, not less than 75 per cent. of the increase on all separate incomes which are larger during this time of war than they were before the War?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)

I fear I can make no statement with regard to the next Budget.
