§ 96. Mr. LOUGHasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, having regard to the higher prices of commodities which may become necessary owing to the War and the desirability of giving as much protection as possible to the public, he can see his way to pass a short measure giving effect to the recommendations of the Select Committee on Short Weights?
Mr. ROBERTSONI do not think that the amendment of the existing law relating to short weight is a matter that can conveniently be undertaken at present.
