§ 33. Mr. JOWETTasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether ex-soldiers who re-enlist are entitled to any extra rate of pay for which they had qualified during their previous service; and, if not, has he received complaints on the ground of unfair treatment of re-enlisted soldiers as compared with soldiers who have not served before?
Mr. BAKERBroadly speaking, the-rates on re-enlistment correspond to the old rates. I have not received any complaints. If my hon. Friend will give me particulars, I will have inquiry made.
