§ 88. Mr. EVELYN CECILasked the Under-Secretary for War whether a better quality of socks can be supplied to His Majesty's Forces, as many complaints have been made that the quality hitherto in use shrinks and wears badly?
§ Mr. TENNANTNo complaints have been received from the troops regarding the wearing quality of the socks. The sock supplied is the best-quality woollen sock, and I am assured that in the case of woollen articles some shrinkage is unavoidable.
