HC Deb 17 November 1914 vol 68 c329
17. Mr. KING

asked the President of the Board of Education whether a new Order amending final Order, No. 120, under Section 11 (8) of the Education Act, 1902, has been made for the Wormshill school, in the county of Kent; and, if so, whether he will make Orders in the same terms for any non-provided schools in the case of which requests to that effect are made by the local education authority or the minor local authority?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of EDUCATION (Dr. Addison)

The answer to the first part of the hon. Member's question is in the affirmative. The original Order under Section 11 (1) of the Education Act, 1902, for the school in question was made on incorrect information, and a clear case for its amendment was made out. I cannot undertake to make amending Orders unless a sufficient case is made out.
