asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the changes proposed in his Budget speech will necessitate any amendment of the Agricultural Rates Act, 1896?

The adoption of the new system of the payment of Grants to local authorities will render certain provisions of the Agricultural Rates Act, 1896, inoperative, and these provisions will be repealed.
