§ 31. Mr. O'DONNELLasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Commissioners of National Education in Ireland requested the Treasury to sanction the payment of full salaries to paper-promoted teachers from 1909 onwards and the Treasury only granted from 1912 onwards; and whether, seeing that those teachers were promoted on service and merit and that the amount concerned is under £4,000, he will consider the justice of paying them the arrears due?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI can add nothing to the answer which my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary gave on the 19th February last in reply to a question on this subject by the hon. Baronet the Member for Mid-Armagh.
