HC Deb 11 May 1914 vol 62 c716
66. Colonel BURN

asked the Prime Minister whether, owing to the importance of the fishing industry and the number of persons employed, he will consider the advisability of appointing a separate Minister for Fisheries, whose sole duty it would be to watch over the interests of that industry?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am not aware that any necessity has arisen for altering the present arrangements, but the hon. and gallant Member's suggestion shall receive careful consideration.
