HC Deb 11 May 1914 vol 62 c716
55. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government have decided not to have an Autumn Session this year?

The PRIME MINISTER

It is not the intention of the Government, if they can help it, to have an Autumn Session.

65. Mr. F. HALL (Dulwich)

asked the Prime Minister if the Government intends to arrange for an Autumn Session to give time for the passing of the necessary legislation to give effect to the proposals in the Budget with regard to local valuation, change of rating procedure, and other matters; and, if not, whether the additional taxation provided for by the Budget will be enforced to the full extent until the purposes for which it is required have received legislative sanction?

The PRIME MINISTER

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I have just given to the hon. Member for Salisbury. The latter part of the question can be dealt with in the Debate this afternoon.
