asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether it is his intention to carry into effect the recommendations regarding the staff of the Public Record Office made by the Royal Commission on Public Records; and, if so, can he indicate a date when the suggested changes will begin?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Royal Commission referred to did not extend to Ireland except as regards certain Record publications dealing with the National History of Great Britain and Ireland. No recommendations as regards the staff of the Public Record Office (Ireland) were made by the Commission.
