The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Robertson)It has been decided to substitute local agencies of the unemployment fund for Labour Exchanges at Pontlottyn, Porth, Treorchy and Ferndale. The Aberkenfig Exchange has also recently been closed. These Exchanges are being closed because there is not enough work to be performed by them which cannot equally well be performed by a local agency. Similar changes are being made in certain districts outside Wales.

Mr. ROBERTSONIt is a more limited organisation. It can do its work at less cost and with a less stall.
