HC Deb 06 May 1914 vol 62 c261
20. Mr. GRETTON

asked for what reason the Insurance Commissioners sent £600 only in response to a requisition by the Rutland Insurance Committee, made in the regular way, for the sum of £900; if the committee is in consequence unable to pay the accounts, less certain deductions as required by the Commissioners, due to doctors, chemists, and others; and when the money required will be paid?

Mr. W. BENN

The sum of £600 was placed to the committee's account pending reconsideration by them of the basis of their advances. The matter has already been fully explained to the committee.

Mr. GRETTON

asked a series of supplementary questions which were inaudible in the Press Gallery, and the replies of Mr. W. Benn were also indistinct.
