HC Deb 06 May 1914 vol 62 c263
24. Mr. GOLDSTONE

asked the Secretary to the Treasury when it is proposed to give practical effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission on the Civil Service, contained in the 4th Report, urging the immediate concession of an additional increment to the assistant clerks and the raising of their present maximum of £150 to £200?

Mr. MONTAGU

I am not yet in a position to name a date, as this recommendation cannot be adopted without reference to other changes recommended by the Royal Commission, whose Report is now under consideration.

Mr. HOARE

Has any provision been made for a possible change in this year's Estimates.
