HC Deb 04 May 1914 vol 62 cc20-1
30. Mr. KING

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he will issue to local education authorities in England suggestions for the celebration in schools of St. George's day in England similar to those issued for the celebration of St. David's day in Wales?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. J. A. Pease)

If I receive evidence that there is a desire among local education authorities that suggestions should be made to them on the subject I shall be glad to consider the matter, and in this event if the hon. Member has views as to the way in which the day may he suitably celebrated I shall be glad to receive his suggestions.

Mr. WEDGWOOD

Do they salute the flag on St. George's Day?
