HC Deb 04 May 1914 vol 62 cc13-4
84. Mr. WORTHINGTON EVANS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the claims for reserve values, in respect of members entering before 12th January, 1913, have yet been agreed to and finally settled with all the approved societies; and, if not, when it is expected that the reserve values will be credited?

Mr. BENN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative, but it is hoped that the relief afforded to approved societies by the introduction of the half-yearly contribution card will enable them to proceed rapidly with their reserve value claims.

Mr. WORTHINGTON EVANS

When does the hon. Gentleman anticipate that the reserve value claims for January, 1913, are going to be settled?

Mr. BENN

It depends upon when societies send them in.
