HC Deb 30 March 1914 vol 60 cc822-3
92. Colonel BURN

asked the Postmaster-General why the vacancy for the position of assistant superintendent at the Torquay Post Office has remained unfilled since the 21st September, 1913; and whether, in view of the inconvenience already experienced, he will take steps to see that the post is filled without further delay?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

It has, I regret to say, proved impossible to promote a local officer at Torquay to the position of assistant superintendent. Difficulty has been experienced in selecting a suitable officer from another office, but I hope that it will be possible to fill the vacant appointment shortly.
