Friend, which presumably refers not to a Labour Exchange, but to the office of a local agent of the Unemployment Fund. If he can give me any further particulars, I will make inquiries.

Mr. CHARLES DUNCANasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been directed to the case of an employer who has posted up a notice to the effect that any workman who is discharged for misbehaviour, or failing in his duty to the company, will not be recommended for benefit under the Act of Parliament dealing with unemployment; and whether, with a view to securing the proper and efficient working of the Act, he proposes to take any action in the matter?
