§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the other part of the question the particulars received from Manchester in connection with the housing survey now being undertaken show an existing shortage of about 3,000 houses. I will communicate with the local authority on the subject. I have at present no information from Salford.
