§ 39. Mr. McKINNON WOODThe matter referred to in the first portion of my hon. Friend's question is covered by the terms of reference to the Royal Commission. The herring curing stations are under inspection by the local authorities of the various areas in which they are situated, and, as I have already informed the Noble Marquess the Member for West Perthshire, one of the medical inspectors of the Local Government Board is at present engaged in examining the conditions at Fraserburgh.
§ Mr. HOGGEIn view of the many representations made with regard to these fisher girls this year, can the right hon. Gentleman not see that the representatives of the Local Government Board, going round from fishing port to fishing port, make a complete report on the conditions?
