Member is one which has been discussed on many previous occasions, but it would appear that both the sovereign and the half-sovereign are so well known throughout the world as to render it unnecessary that their value should be specifically indicated on their face. It would be difficult to provide for any such indication without detriment to the artistic character of the existing designs.
