asked the Vice-President o£ the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) the result of his communications with the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company and the City of Dublin Steam Packet Company with regard to their refusal to issue through bookings of live stock from stations west of Drogheda; and whether he is aware that the London and North-Western Railway Company now issue through bookings?

The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company and the City of Dublin Steam Packet Company have not as yet been able to arrive at an arrangement regarding through bookings via Birkenhead, the question involved being one of adjustment of charges. The Department are glad to state that through bookings via Holyhead have been resumed by the London and North - Western Railway Company.
