Major HOPEasked whether, under the Government Housing Bill, it will be competent for the Board of Agriculture for Scotland to takeover the houses which are to be built by the local authority at West Benhar if the local authority so desire; and wheher it will be competent for the Board of Agriculture for Scotland to build houses in the future in other similar districts which are partly agricultural and partly industrial?

I am not in a position to anticipate the decision of the Departments concerned in specific or general cases.
