Major HOPEasked whether the whole of the £71,000 Grant, under the Budget for education in Scotland this year, will be distributed among secondary education committees in accordance with Section 16 (2) of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1908, or whether any and, if so, how much of this Grant will be absorbed by prior charges under Section 16 (1) of the Act?
Mr. McKINNON WOODI hope to be able to lay before Parliament in the course of this week a statement showing the proposed application of the Education (Scotland) Fund for the current year, including the sum of £71,000 to which the hon. Member refers.
