Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he will state in detail wherein the general responsibilities of the new post proposed at the Scottish Office of Works differ from those now obtaining, and the name and rank of the official in the English Office of Works who will supervise the work of the proposed new principal architect in Edinburgh?
Mr. BENNThere has been a rearrangement of work, but the salary has been reduced, because it was considered to be disproportionate to the duties. The Scottish Office of Works is responsible to no English official.
