HC Deb 24 February 1914 vol 58 cc1593-4
70. Mr. BARNSTON

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether he intends to issue an Order, under the Public Health (Regulations as to Food) Act, 1907, regulating the sale of machine-skimmed condensed milk, or whether he will take any other action to give effect to the recommendations contained in Dr. Coutts' Report to the Local Government Board on the use of condensed milks as infanta foods in August, 1911?

The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The question of making regulations on the subject referred to is now under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement on the matter.
