HC Deb 19 February 1914 vol 58 cc1129-30
50. Mr. FALLE

asked the Prime Minister if it is his intention to grant any Government moneys or the moneys of any Government Department to the building or improvement of Wick Harbour during this Parliament?

The PRIME MINISTER

I can add nothing to the answers given on this subject by my right hon. Friend the Secretary for Scotland on Tuesday last.

Mr. FALLE

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Secretary for Scotland said he was unable to say whether any harbour works would be undertaken this year or not, and is he in a position to do so?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir; I have nothing to do with it.

Mr. C. WASON

Is it not a fact that the Government have nothing to do with the administration of this Grant, and is it not solely in the hands of the Development Commissioners?

The PRIME MINISTER

That, is so.
