Mr. SPEAKER informed the House that he had issued, during the Recess, Warrants for New Writs

For County of Linlithgow, in the room of the Rt. Hon. Alexander Ure, K.C., who hath accepted the office of Lord Justice General and Lord President of the Court of Session in Scotland.

For Cork (Northern Division), in the room of Patrick Guiney, esquire, deceased.

For Borough of Reading, in the room of the Rt. Hon. Sir Rufus Daniel Isaacs, K.C.V.O., who hath accepted the office, of Lord Chief Justice of England.

For West Riding of Yorkshire (Keighley Division), in the room of Stanley Owen Buckmaster, esquire, K.C., who hath accepted the office of Solicitor-General.

For Wick District of Burghs, in the room of Robert Munro, esquire, K.C., who hath accepted the office of Lord Advocate for Scotland.

For County of Lanark (Southern Division), in the room of Sir Walter Menzies, knight, deceased.

For County of Durham (North-Western Division), in the room of Llewellyn Archer Atherley-Jones, K.C., who hath accepted the office of Judge of the City of London Court.
