§ Mr. McKENNAThe registration of aliens and the administration of the other provisions of the Aliens Restriction Order have cast upon the police throughout the country such enormous labour and absorb so much of their powers in practical work day by day that I have not thought it right at present to call for Returns of the total numbers registered, and I cannot yet give any trustworthy figures. The actual supervision of the aliens registered in every police district is receiving the closest attention.
