HC Deb 04 August 1914 vol 65 c1897
35. Mr. F. HALL (Dulwich)

asked what is the total amount of fund which has accumulated in respect of insured persons who have not chosen their doctors under the National Insurance Act, whether any arrangements have been or are proposed to be made with a view to the distribution among panel doctors of such money; how many persons have neglected for any reason to select a doctor; and whether, in view of the fact that in many instances this neglect is due to circumstances beyond the person's control, steps can be taken to use this accumulated sum for the benefit of those who have contributed over a long period and have derived no benefit there from.

Mr. BENN

As previously stated the whole of the funds available to an Insurance Committee for the remuneration of doctors on the panel fall to be distributed and no accumulation is possible. The rest of the question does not, therefore, arise.
