HC Deb 04 August 1914 vol 65 cc1896-7
20. Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked The chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Government nursing grant, to be administered by the Insurance Commissioners through the medium of the insurance committees, will be available only for the nursing of insured persons or such persons and their dependants or, alternatively, whether, seeing that it is provided by the taxpayers generally, it will be available for the nusring of all sick persons within the administrative area of such committees whose means will not admit of the employment of a professional nurse?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)

The matter is under consideration.
