asked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that the Congested Districts Board received a communication from the people of the parish of Mullagh, county Galway, in reference to the contemplated sale of the estate of Miss Browne in the said parish; is he aware that the district contains a number of uneconomic tenants; and whether the tenant on Miss Browne's estate, to wit, Mrs. Timothy Ryan, was approached with a view to acquiring her interests; and, if not, will he direct the Board to open negotiations with the tenant?

The Congested Districts Board have received the communication referred to which states that there is congestion in the vicinity of Mrs. T. Ryan's farm. The Board have not yet communicated with Mrs. Ryan, but inquiries are being made regarding the farm.
